Experienced. Registered. Supportive.
As an experienced BACP registered counsellor, offering you a professional, safe, cared-for and confidential environment, I can support you in exploring the aspects of your life that are troubling you.
As part of my commitment to ensuring you receive the therapy that best suits your individual needs, I offer a free half an hour introductory session.
The foundation of my work is in Person Centred Counselling, which means you talk about whatever you feel comfortable with. You are the expert on you and we work together with what you feel is important. However, because we are all unique, I may blend other therapies to help you find your way and move forward. These include creative therapies; Inner Child work; Transactional Analysis; Gestalt; Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Techniques.
I am a qualified teacher with a specialism in Early Years and have a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), working within their Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
My counselling experience is varied and diverse: working with local schools; a bereavement charity; private practice and a charity for victims and survivors of sexual violence and child sexual abuse. This has equipped me to meet the differing needs of my clients, who include young children; adolescents; adults and the elderly.
I have an enhanced DBS and Public Liability Insurance.
I am also registered with the Infant Loss Foundation.
